I enjoyed this. You have a sensitive style of writing, as if you are talking to Ben, or a wild animal.

I thought I already had! I’d certainly read some of your Hiram Falls, but maybe in the first few days of substacking when I didn’t know what I was doing :)

Understand the feeling. But it was nice to see this morning.

And thanks for restacking the Ben story. I think Ben and Vera are my favorite characters in many ways. I've had the advantage of having a core group of people help me along the way and one is an art therapist (and writer) who has her PhD in working with people with damaged brains. So she's helped me tremendously in making sure the character was credible medically.

Be well,

My mouth is watering for a piece of that Blueberry pie. You pulled me right into Hiram Falls. The characters are so real. Great writing. Love it.

Compelling. I can see it. Doesn’t feel contrived. Would like to know more about Vera.

I so appreciate your response. And, of course, for taking the time to read it. Vera is intriguing. She is the town operator, or she is at this juncture of the story, she actually came about much later in the story in an earlier draft and I decided to do more with her. Which is how Ben came to be.

This next draft I am doing more with her, to get deeper.

Thanks again. Be well.
